A Christmas That Doesn’t Cost The Earth

This year I’m making a conscious effort to reduce my environmental footprint as I prepare for the festive season. After a little research, and a little creative thinking, I’ve come up with a few ideas that will help me, and maybe you, have a Christmas that won’t cost the earth.

My First Mountain, Snowdon

At the beginning of the year, me and my ever-patient girlfriend Nat, set ourselves a challenge. This was the year we’d climb our first mountain together, and after a flurry of Pinterest board filling and research, we decided on 1085m tall Mount Snowdon.

Autumn at National Trust Dyffryn Gardens

Despite living so close to this National Trust property, I’d never been. And as autumn rolled in, the arboretum was calling, because nothing says autumn like walking through the trees.
